In August of 2001 Lilian Giubetich - violoncello - and Luciano Pietrafesa -guitar- met during a “Guitar Craft Seminar” in Sassoferrrato, Italia. Since then, being members of “The Berlin Guitar Ensemble”, they shared several Tours around Germany and Italy.
In 2003, Leon Bertone joined the band and ARGENTO began to build up their repertoire for violoncello, guitar and electronic arrangements, which is mainly based on a prestigious selection of Astor Piazzolla’s compositions and own material.
Featuring Lilian Giubetich ( violoncello), Luciano Pietrafesa (acoustic guitar) and Leon Bertone (electronics). ARGENTO TANGO FUSION is the perfect combination of Astor Piazzolla's music and avant-garde electronic arrangements. This attractive modernization of the popular music born in Buenos Aires, leads the audience into sonorous landscapes where the passion and music blend so well together.
During live performances, IJ&MJ bring the music into images through video art projections.
ARGENTO TANGO FUSION had been performing in Spain, France, UK and Argentina. Sometimes they also share the stage together with another artistic disciplines. Among the most remarkable events they had been participating are: “Poble Sec Major Festival” (Barcelona), “Tribute to Astor Piazzolla” at “The Riereta Theatre” (Barcelona), “Festival de Cadaqués” (Cadaqués - Girona), el “Bradford Festival” (Inglaterra) and the “Musikaire” Festival (Elorrio – Bilbao), MAV “Mostra d’arts vives” (Ozona – España), La Paloma (Barcelona), Teatre Llantiol (Barcelona), Teatro Lavarden (Rosario, Argentina), Sala Adolfo Calle (Mendoza, Argentina), Sala Apolo (Barcelona), Theatre Caixa Forum (Madrid and Lleida), Conde Duque "La Noche en Blanco" (Madrid) and Centro Cultural Cajastur Colegiata (Gijón, Asturias).
